Residential Rain Barrel Water Conservation Program

Purpose:

The City of Kyle wants to encourage residents to conserve water by collecting and storing rainwater to reduce outdoor irrigation needs. City of Kyle residential Water Utility and Storm Drainage Utility customers are encouraged to apply for the following rebate.

Instructions:

Kyle Water Utility and Kyle Stormwater Drainage Utility customers are eligible for up to $200 for one 50-gallon (minimum) rain barrel and associated installation components or accessories.

Eligibility:

• Only current City of Kyle Water Utility and City of Kyle Storm Drainage Utility customers are eligible to participate in the program.

• Customer account must be current with no outstanding balance on their utility bill.

• Original receipt(s) of purchase and photos showing proof of installation are required.

• Only complete applications will be considered.

• Only new products purchased after October 15, 2024 are eligible for the rebate.

• Limited to 1 rain barrel per household. 

Qualifying Devices:

• Rain barrels must store a minimum of 50 gallons.

• Associated installation components or accessories to install the barrel are also reimbursable. Maximum total rebate amount is $200.

Additional Terms:

• Sales tax, shipping, and delivery fees are not eligible for reimbursement.

• Limited to one application per household.

• Rain barrel installation must be reviewed with an HOA, if applicable.

• Original receipt(s) of purchase and photos showing proof of installation are required.
