2026 Election

The City of Kyle will host a General Election on Nov. 3, 2026. To find out what City of Kyle district you live in, visit the City of Kyle District Map or search your address on the City of Kyle Address and Jurisdiction Finder. To find out what County precinct you live in, contact the Hays County Elections Office 512- 393-7310, check your voter registration card, or check the Hays County Voting Precinct Map. Important Dates

• The deadline to register to vote in this election is October 5, 2026.
• Early Voting will be October 19 – October 30, 2026.
• The last day to submit an application for ballot by mail is 11 days before Election Day, if Election Day is a Tuesday - October 23, 2026. Election Day marked ballots by mail must be returned by 7 p.m. unless mailed from outside the United States. Overseas ballots have an additional 6 days past Election Day to arrive and be considered timely. To register or apply for a ballot by mail, visit the Hays County Government Center or the Hays County Elections Office's website.
• There will be a General Election held on November 3, 2026.

City Council

Kyle City Council is composed of seven elected officials: the mayor and six city council members. Three council members are elected at-large (Districts 1, 3, and 5), and three are elected by district (Districts 2, 4, and 6); all serve staggered three-year terms. The mayor is elected at-large and serves a three-year term. The following positions will be on the Nov 3, 2026 ballot:

• Mayor
• District 2
• District 4

The Candidate filing period begins on July 18, 2026 and concludes at 5:00 p.m. on August 18, 2026.
