The City of Kyle will host a Special Election on Dec. 12, 2026 for a vacancy in City Council District 3. This position is at-large, meaning all City of Kyle residents can vote or run for this seat.

- The deadline to register to vote in this election is November 12, 2026.
- Early Voting will be November 30 – December 8, 2026.
- The last day to submit an application for ballot by mail is December 1, 2026. Election Day marked ballots by mail must be returned by 7 p.m. unless mailed from outside the United States. Overseas ballots have an additional 6 days past Election Day to arrive and be considered timely. City Council
Kyle City Council is composed of seven elected officials: the mayor and six city council members. Three council members are elected at-large (Districts 1, 3, and 5), and three are elected by district (Districts 2, 4, and 6); all serve staggered three-year terms. The mayor is elected at-large and serves a three-year term. There is a vacancy in District 3 at-large for an unexpired term, ending November 2028.
