Youth Programs

Registration for the Kyle Spring Break Camp is going on now. We offer a Youth and Teen Spring Break Camp that runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 5:45 p.m., for 1 week—beginning March 16th – 20th. For more information, including registration, see below.

Be a part of the team! We're looking for dependable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individuals to officiate or become league administrators for youth and adult recreational sports leagues. 

The City of Kyle offers a variety of youth athletic and development programs, recreational events, and a Spring Break and Summer Camp.

The Kyle Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball League program is designed for boys and girls aged 4U to 12U.

This program is made possible through the efforts of committed volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering your time as a coach, league administrator, game official, score keeper, or team parent please indicate that on the registration form. Volunteer Coaches receive one (per season) waived player registration fee.

If you do not have a child participating in the league and would like to donate your time, please call 512-262-3939.

Girls and Boys Division:

  • 4U Co-Ed Division
  • 6U Co-Ed Division
  • 8U Boys Division  
  • 10U Boys Division  
  • 12U Boys Division  
  • 8U Girls Division

There must be a minimum of 7 players to a team and maximum of 10 players per team, and a minimum of 3 and max of 4 teams per division, pending gym availability. If a league does not make the minimum, parent/guardian will get a full refund.  

Special requests for week day practices, team/friend/coach requests are not guaranteed.

Registration:

  • $60/per child for 4U & 6U
  • $85/per child for all other divisions

  • Team Jersey 
  • 6-game season  
  • Team participation Medal or Championship Medal 

 

The Kyle Parks and Recreation Youth Flag Football League is designed for boys and girls aged 4U to 6U. Practices and Games are held on Mondays at Gregg-Clarke starting the week of March 23. We offer divisions for 4U & 6U Coed (with a 30-minute practice followed by a 30-minute game) for $60 per player.

The Kyle Recreational Hockey League offers adult and youth roller hockey leagues year round. 

Games are played at Ash Pavilion, 1231 W. Center St. in Gregg-Clarke Park in Kyle, TX.

The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to participate in the Kyle Kudas Swim Team. Kyle Kudas is open to all swimmers ages 5-17. Registration and a fee of $160 per child for the season is required to participate. Registration dates will be announced in early 2026. 

Participant & Parent Requirements:

All participants must be able to swim two full lengths of the pool unassisted and without flotation devices/equipment to make the team. Teams are limited to 15 swimmers per coach.  

The Swim Team Coach has the authority to dismiss swimmers from the team due to behavioral issues/concerns after being previously addressed.  

Parents must inform Coach or City Employee of swimmers absence. Three unexcused absences may result in the dismissal from the team. A swimmer must have less than 3 unexcused absences to compete in the Regional Swim Meet.  

Registration Information

Registration and fee of $160 per child for the season is required to participate. Registration will open in early 2026 at KyleRec.Recdesk.com

Registration includes:

  • 2 practices per week
  • 1 swim cap
  • 1 swimsuit,
  • 1 team shirt
  • Entry into the Regional Meet, if the swimmer decides to compete. Swimmers 15-17 years old do NOT compete at Regional level, but will automatically make the State Swim Meet, if the swimmer decides to compete(The fee for state meet entry for 15-17 year olds will be covered by the City of Kyle)

Registration does not cover travel expenses for swim meets, swimmer entry for the State Meet or travel accommodations for the State Meet.

Parents/Guardians must provide:

  • A plain black swimsuit
  • A pair of swim goggles

Swim Team Dates:

Refund Policy

  • Refunds are issued on a cancellation date basis. 2026 dates will be posted when registration opens.

Therapeutic Recreation Services include both adaptive and inclusive programs, facilitated by Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS) and dedicated supporting staff.
