The City of Kyle welcomes everyone to enjoy our parks, trails, and open spaces responsibly. To keep our parks safe, clean, and enjoyable for all, the following guidelines apply citywide. Park Hours
- All City parks are open 5 a.m. – 11 p.m., seven days a week.
- Facilities and restrooms are available during open hours unless otherwise posted.
- Overnight use or camping is not permitted without written approval from the Parks & Recreation Department.
General Conduct
- Treat all public property, wildlife, and fellow visitors with respect.
- Disorderly conduct, vandalism, or unsafe behavior is prohibited.
- Park attendants and law enforcement officers may issue citations or remove individuals who violate park rules.
Pets and Wildlife
- Pets must be kept on a leash at all times, except in designated dog park areas.
- Owners must pick up after pets and dispose of waste properly.
- Pets are not allowed inside playgrounds, athletic fields, or City aquatic facilities.
- Do not feed or disturb wildlife.
Prohibited Items and Activities
- No glass containers, explosives, fireworks, or firearms (unless permitted by law).
- Fires are allowed only in City-installed grills or designated fire pits.
- No golfing, archery, hunting, or use of motorized vehicles outside approved roads and parking areas.
- No littering, dumping, or posting of unauthorized signage.
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Smoking
- Alcohol is prohibited in City parks unless specifically approved for a permitted event.
- Alcohol, tobacco, vaping, and e-cigarette use are not allowed in or near pools, athletic fields, and playgrounds.
- Violations may result in immediate removal from park property.
Events and Facility Use
- Groups of 25 people or more, or any event requesting exclusive use of an area, must obtain a Park Use Permit.
- Applications should be submitted at least two weeks in advance. Larger events may require additional notice or City Council approval.
- Proof of insurance may be required for public or commercial events.
- Permits must be displayed or available on-site during the event.

Noise and Amplified Sound
- Events using amplified sound must comply with the City’s Noise Ordinance.
- Park staff or police may reduce volume or end activities that disrupt nearby neighborhoods or other park users.
