Join the Challenge

1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an early literacy challenge. The goal is to read 1000 books before your child starts kindergarten. It is easier than you think!

Families that have a Kyle Public Library card and have children under the age of 5 are invited to take on the reading challenge.

There are small rewards for every 200 books read. If your child completes the 1000 books, they will choose a book to keep! You will receive a folder with instructions, resources, and a paper reading log when you sign up. To register, stop by Kyle Public Library!
