Water Utilities
The City of Kyle Water Utilities Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to deliver safe, high-quality water to residents, businesses, and visitors, and to maintain an efficient wastewater collection system.
Water Division
Water Division staff monitor and maintain water quality through daily chlorine residual testing and routine collection of bacteriological samples to ensure the integrity and safety of the distribution system. Crews flush dead-end mains each month and regularly check water pressure throughout the system to further protect water quality.
The water distribution network includes pump stations, ground storage tanks, elevated storage tanks, and miles of water mains. Staff also repair numerous leaks each week and respond promptly to customer reports of potential issues.
Wastewater Division
Wastewater Division staff operate and maintain the wastewater collection system, which includes the lift stations, force mains, pumps, manholes, and gravity lines. The WWTP receives wastewater collected through the system and treats it to meet state-regulated standards before it is safely discharged into the local watershed or supplied for reuse applications.
Crews clean, maintain, and monitor all components of the system and use video equipment to inspect lines and manholes for signs of infiltration or inflow.
