Pets residing within the city limits of Kyle, Texas are required to be registered with the Kyle Police Department as per city ordinance.
A license will be valid for the pet's lifetime if the pet is microchipped and registered with the owner's current information, and if the pet has been spayed or neutered. However, this license can be revoked in accordance with section 5-33. If the dog or cat has not been spayed or neutered, the license will be valid for one year from the date of issuance, unless it is revoked under section 5-33. All residents of the city are required to have their dogs and cats, four months of age and older, implanted with a microchip that is registered with the owner's up-to-date information.
The Animal Control Division uses Pet Hub for its pet registration system. Pet Hub provides an online pet profile and a 24/7 hotline call center to provide your neighbors with the information needed to return your pet home safely.
To register your pet with the City of Kyle, please mail in or drop off the following documents to 1700 Kohler's Crossing, Kyle, Texas 78640:

- Rabies vaccination certificate
- Registration fee payment made out to the Kyle Police Department
