Kyle Lockbox Program
The City of Kyle Emergency Management Division has partnered with Knox-Box Rapid Entry System, a voluntary program designed to help senior citizens and individuals with disabilities by ensuring fast, safe access for emergency responders.
What is the Knox-Box System?
The Knox-Box is a secure, tamper-resistant lockbox that holds a spare key to your home. In an emergency, this system allows first responders to enter your home quickly and safely without having to force entry.

Who Qualifies?
To be eligible, you must:

Be a Kyle resident,
AND -
Be 65 or older and live alone,
OR -
Be under 65 with major medical conditions that may render you incapacitated and live alone.
*Certain residents may not meet eligibility requirements to participate in the program if they live in a location that is managed by an onsite staff or management team; such as apartments, skilled nursing facilities, and senior communities that are managed by a professional staff.
How it Works

Apply using the form below.

If eligible, you’ll receive a secure Knox-Box to install at your home.

During an emergency, 911 operators will notify first responders of your enrollment and the location of your Knox-Box.
