Perwez Moheet Named City of Kyle Interim City Manager

KYLE, TEXAS –– During the Tuesday, May 5 Kyle City Council meeting, Finance Director Perwez Moheet was appointed as the Interim City Manager effective May 9, 2026. This appointment follows the departure of current City Manager Bryan Langley.

Moheet has served as Finance Director for the City of Kyle since 2010, successfully leading the city’s financial operations during a period of substantial growth, and brings decades of experience in municipal leadership, public policy, and financial management.

“He has served the City of Kyle since 2010 as our city’s Finance Director and with more than four decades of public service, he brings steady leadership, deep institutional knowledge and a calm presence that has earned the respect and trust of staff and everyone who has had the opportunity to work with him,” said City of Kyle Mayor Yvonne Flores-Cale. “Simply put, he is someone people believe in, and that matters in moments like this.”

Moheet will serve as Interim City Manager and Director of Finance for a minimum of 12 months or until replaced by a permanent appointment by City Council.

In early April, Langley accepted a position with the City of Goodyear, Arizona. He will conclude his service with the City of Kyle on May 15 with his final day in the office being May 8.
