Kyle Voters to Weigh in on City Leadership, Charter Changes in Upcoming November Election

KYLE, TEXAS – Kyle voters will decide three City Council races, weigh in on 17 proposed amendments, and elect a new mayor during the Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Election.
Key Election Dates:
- Voter Registration Deadline: October 6, 2025
- Early Voting: October 20 – October 31, 2025
- Election Day: Tuesday, November 4, 2025
- The last day to submit an application for ballot by mail is 9 days (11 days if Election Day is a Tuesday) before Election Day. Election Day marked ballots by mail must be returned by 7 p.m. unless mailed from outside the United States. Overseas ballots have an additional 6 days past Election Day to arrive and be considered timely. To register or apply for a ballot by mail, visit the Hays County Government Center or the Hays County Elections Office's website.

City Council Elections:
Kyle City Council is composed of seven elected officials; the Mayor and six Council Members. Mayor and three Council Members are elected at-large (Districts 1, 3, and 5), and three are elected by single-member districts (District 2, 4, and 6). During the November 4, 2025, election, voters will decide the following positions:
- District 1 – At-Large Seat
- District 3 – At-Large Seat
- City of Kyle Mayor - At-Large Seat (Special Election to fill a vacancy for term expiring November 2026)
- District 2 – Single-Member District (Special Election to fill a vacancy for term expiring November 2026)

City Charter Amendments:
This November, Kyle voters will also consider 17 proposed amendments (Propositions A-Q) to the City Charter. These proposed changes cover a wide range of governance topics such as filling council seat vacancies, the initiative and referendum process, recall limitations, and more.

2025 Redistricting
In June 2025, Kyle City Council approved an updated voting district map as part of the redistricting process that began in June 2024. City of Kyle voters are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new district lines heading into the November 2025 City Council Election at CityofKyle.gov/Redistricting.
